Hickory Smoked Jerky

Primal Strips Hickory Smoked Soy Jerkey was one of my favorite flavors. The texture was perfect: flakey, chewy moist and rich. My prom date/husband, a devout meat lover tasted it and said “wow, it tastes like steak!”

The after taste was my biggest issue with this flavor- it’s strong an lasts for quite a while. It’s the “soy aftertaste” I get after drinking some protein shakes. Other than that, this product makes a perfect snack on the go.

It’s a great change from the constant super sweet granola or protein bar. The nurtrition isn’t bad either. Other than being high in sodium, these strips pack a lot of protein and a respectable amount of iron. (11% DV)
